Choosing the Right Builder for Your New Home

When you are searching for a home, you have the choice between an existing home and a new home. Although far more resales come to market than new homes, there are still many new homes being built.

In in-demand areas such as Arlington, McLean and Falls Church, new homes are invariably priced at the top end of the spectrum of available homes. If you’re like most buyers of new homes, you have not had previous new construction experience. So how can you figure out what’s good and what’s bad, what’s acceptable and what’s not?

My companies built new homes in Northern Virginia for almost fifteen years. Several of my homes won local and national awards. Now I represent a number of new-home builders and, I am out in the marketplace every day looking at what everyone is doing.
